It's a good thing this wasn't my first foray into this author's works. If it had been, I never would've picked up a book by this author again...it wasn't anywhere near as good as own in Flames, which I loved. Dante was kind of a dick, I couldn't understand Cade's attraction to him, and honestly...it was just plain boring. I skimmed from 20% onward just to get it over with. The only reason I didn't DNF was because I couldn't decide what to read next.
this novella could have benefitted from being a full novel, i think, and giving the relationship a little more time to grow. again meader's use of "foreign" nicknames really annoys me, but this time both heroes were pretty likeable, despite dante's pigheadedness. i think i liked this the best out of any of the books so far.

I loved this so much! Undone by You was an easy story for me to get lost in, there were so many great moments between Cade and Dante, I just read and absorbed it all, totally enjoying every detail. It was so sweet, heartfelt, and emotional. A fantastic read!
I loved Cade, this sweet lovable Texan who always wears a smile. I enjoyed his journey and everything he went through. Dante was awesome as well. Tough and stoic but I loved seeing the man behind the suit and his dynamic personality. I thought Cade and Dante had great chemistry, I enjoyed their flirty moments, the push and pull they had, and I loved watching them come together. I adored how playful Cade could be, challenging Dante and Dante fighting his feelings. It made for so many entertaining scenes that left me smiling. And the heat? Oh my!!! These two were seriously hot together!
The writing was excellent. I love how the timeline overlaps with the previous book, So Over You. If you haven't read it you won't be lost but if you have, there are a ton of fun Easter eggs. I loved all the characters and the Chase sisters. I love the relationship that Cade and Violet have and the foreshadowing for the next story, Hooked On You,. Violet is a breath of fresh air and I am so excited for what’s to come in her book.
Kate Meader is a go-to author for me and the Chicago Rebel's series has quickly become a favorite of mine. This is a shorter story but it's packed full of goodness and it’s a was wonderful addition to the series. I totally fell in love with both these guys and am thrilled how it all played out.

I received a galley of this book from Pocket Star via NetGalley. This has not impacted by rating, review, or opinions.
I'm on a roll with M/M romance lately, and I was excited to dig into this book. When the Chicago Rebels' GM runs into one of his star players at a gentleman's club, sparks fly. Even better – the hockey player, Cade, has harbored a long-time teenage crush on Dante, the GM.
While the book is steamy, it's pretty light and I found some of the lines in the book to be more funny than alluring. Why do so many romances end up with characters giving each other ridiculous nicknames right off the bat? One thing is for certain – you're not going to think of meatballs the same way after reading this book. I also dislike it when authors decide to describe everyone as "the [ethnicity]."
I read this book as an ebook, and I just realized that it clocks in at <200 pages. While it was entertaining and light, I would have preferred a more complex book with a stronger build-up. Some of the characters' reactions to things are just absurd, and one moment in particular really drove me crazy.

Such an emotional and telling read. It really showed what it is like from another persons perspective. I liked how it was longer than a typical Novella and it was just super cute.
Dante Moretti has recently been named GM of the Chicago Rebels, a dream he's had ever since his hockey career was sidelined due to injury. However, Dante isn't like all of the rest of the GMs in the league. In fact, he's the first out executive in the league, and many people never wanted a man like him in this position. He's worked as hard as he could to get to this position, and he's determined to not let anything ruin his chances.
Enter Cade "Alamo" Burnett, the star defenseman of the Chicago Rebels. Unlike Dante, Cade keeps his sexuality hidden, worried about what the consequences might be if he went public with it. When Dante steps into the locker room for the first time, Cade knows it might be harder than he thought. He'll have to learn to keep his desires hidden if he doesn't want to be outed to the whole world.
Like I said, we're family. And, kid, you can't choose your family.
I am genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this one. I went into it with very low expectations, and it exceeded them above and beyond. I loved watching Cade and Dante mature separately as they navigate their whirlwind relationship. I had not read the first two books of the series, so I can't speak for the spoilers that could possibly be in this book, but it seemed like these can be read individually if you don't want to read them all. This is the first book by Kate Meader that I have read, but it certainly won't be my last.
