It had been a while since I last listened to the audiobook and going back to it now I just don't care. It doesn't stand out. It's definitely of the theme of female American psychos. I probably won't ever finish it.
Take a shot every time you read 'the wolf'.
I'm all for women taking traditionally male jobs, but perhaps we don't need to rush to fill the 'comically-sadistic-rapist-serial-killer-who-mostly-targets-competent-and-happy-women' roll.
Shock horror for no other reason.
The cover art is 10/10.
The story? Anothe reader said it best: If "Not like other girls" was a book.

This book was absolutely phenomenal—hands down 5 stars. It’s beautifully written, utterly bizarre, and completely absorbing from start to finish. That said, it’s definitely not for the faint of heart or for everyone. But for me? It was perfect.
It’s horror at its finest: haunting, devastating, and heartbreakingly sad all at once. This story gave me everything I’ve been longing to see in modern horror movies—something clever, deeply emotional, and unsettling in the best possible way.
The writing itself is stunning, filled with wit and layers of meaning that leave you thinking long after you’ve turned the last page. It’s one of those rare books that grabs hold of you and refuses to let go. I have a feeling this will be tough to beat as my top read of the year.

Normally, I can't get through body horror or gory books, but I couldn't put this down. Despite Maeve's depravity, I found this utterly compelling.
