This book started slow for me, but maybe a third of the way in, it “took”. I was hooked and engaged. Reminiscent of Overstory, there is environmental disregard (at best) and conflicts inner and outer. A fine read! Don’t let the slow character intros dissuade you. It’s all worth it.

I don’t know how I feel about this book. I think I was hoping for something more. It felt there was something predictable about the storyline. Meh.

Couldn’t get into it. So overwritten and dense. A moment that should be a paragraph is two pages long. There wasn’t enough to keep me reading. I like long descriptions of the writing is beautiful but if the writing feels like filler? No thanks.
