The book was slow and aside from the twist it was sort of boring. The main character was very unlikeable and the serial killer was barely that.

I found the exposition quite clumsy and in your face but the plot was interesting enough to keep me turning pages. There was a weird mix of realistic and totally unrealistic representation of village life and it distanced me from the characters.

This book got me hooked on reading again. I couldn't put it down.
Beth opens the door to police asking where her husband Tom is. When Tom is arrested Beth starts to question everything she knows about her husband. Dealing with the town gossip, everyone saying she knew, trying to keep her life on track, Beth starts the crack.
I was not prepared for the absolute twists in this book and I loved every second of it!

Revelation halfway through from main character felt forced and predictable, good ending but main character was so unlikeable which made it awkward to read
