My boyfriend thinks he's Charlotte and I'm Wilbur. -_-

For the last time, baby, we're not.

You don't get to die and leave me behind to look after the children, Dumbledore. -_-

I reread this book for a man who said it was his favourite book growing up.  I couldn't remember the book very well, but he said he remembered the playful banter between the animals.  When I read it I found there was anything but playful banter.  Wilbur got bullied constantly by the other farm animals, was cast aside by the humans, and used as a prop.  When he was crying about
the fact all the humans in his life plotted for his death
the other animals told him to shut up and stop being a crybaby.  This is the kind of book you have to be a child not to find disturbing.  The constant impending sense of death throughout the book would give even the youngest reader a morality complex.  It was however, fairly well written for the age group it targets, and with proper guidance can be a good book for teaching the importance of bei g friendly and accepting of peers that don't quiet fit in.
