This book was soooooo goooood. It was a romance, mixed with a thriller, mixed with erotica. It was just so good. Oliver was kidnapped at the age of 8. Sydney at that time , age 7, did not take it well. Him being gone manifested real trauma for her in her dating life, but she never gave up on him. When he returned her life was turned upside down. Oliver doesn’t remember much he was missing for over 20 years trapped in a bunker. I guess great fully his capture kept him educated. It takes some time to adjust to the new life. But him and Sydney grow a bond. We learn some dark secrets, including why he went missing and it’s gone blow you mind.

All of the puzzle pieces fit well for this book. By the end of the book there is a full picture snd I appreciated the hell out of that.

I didn’t like that Sydney seemed more traumatized then Oliver. And it was a bit strange how she made him super aware when he hasn’t had human interaction (outside of his capture) for the past 20 years and he found out this man lied to him the entire time. He didn’t even possess anger because of that. I just told myself it’s fiction, so if she wanted him to be super human she can lmao. Great book otherwise

I really enjoyed it. The emotions of the characters were very authentic.
Is a little hard to tell the timeline of the story until author comes right out and says it because healing takes time.
HEA.

Uhmmm, a lot of intense themes here, quiet well handled with appropriate delicacy I think. More importantly, did Taylor Swift read this and find inspiration for “Anti-hero”??

I loved this hands down in my top 10 books ever
