i hate to do this, but i am dnfing at 52%. i am miserably bored. and i don’t care about these characters.
Last book read of 2022 and it didn’t disappoint. Couldn’t put it down, Oliver was such a beautiful character and I really loved the emphasis that he was strong and resilient as a survivor rather than broken. Loved all the twists, loses one star because I didn’t super love the FMC
Ehh. Didn’t love it but also didn’t hate it. The characters were cute and this is a quick read about childhood friends who lost each other and found each other in adulthood after a traumatic experience with one of the characters

Around 60% I felt like nothing was happening for a while and it was just denial of feelings/scared of commitment which I…hate 😩
I ended up finishing it anyway and it just didn’t have me hooked and I was disappointed.
There’s something revealed and I don’t think it was shocking. The fmc had issues and was not very likeable to me, there were some lines that were…kinda cringe like him wanting to f**k her more than he wanted freedom from being kidnapped for 20 years 🥲😅

I loved this book. So many twists and turns that I did not expect. Syd and Lucas… I loved them together so much. I cannot wait to read the 3rd book
