Man I am just IN to the innocent boy trope this year and this was perfection. Him rediscovering his love for her as the woman she is now. Her helping him acclimate to the world in her own way. The tension the discovery UGH! So friggin cute and a plot that that took a backseat to the romance but was interesting nonetheless!

This book sucked me in immediately — I was hooked from page one. And oh my GOD, the yearning. It was delicious. I swear I physically ached during some parts.
Special shoutout to Chapter 16, aka "the one where he finds her vibrator and her book," because I was dying laughing! So funny!
That being said… I struggled a little with Oliver’s character. I understand that, given his past, he would have some social and emotional gaps. But the way he spoke — so robotic and oddly clueless — didn’t always feel believable. Sometimes it felt less like a traumatized human and more like an alien visiting Earth for the first time, and it pulled me out of the story a bit.
Also: two words I will never recover from — Moist Melon. (If you know, you know.)
Plot twist-wise, I expected a little more. They were fine, but not exactly earth-shattering.
However, the spice? The spice was spicing, and I am not complaining. At all.
Overall: a messy, emotional, sometimes-slightly-awkward but ultimately addictive read.

4.5 OMG OMG OMG. This book was phenomenal. I honestly had no idea what to expect from this book, but was for sure surprised. Syd and Oliver were so cute and hearing about Olivers 22 year (INSANE) abduction was wild. The ending of this actually had me crying. Such a strong plot with amazing characters!
