2.75 stars. I saw nearly every twist coming, they weren't subtle. travis chewing a gum out of nowhere, clam's reaction in the car. good book but when the shock value presents itself without the shock, it loses you know... the value.

I really liked this story. While there were some things I think could have been done differently, all in all, I liked it.
I liked the childhood bffs who say they are gonna marry each other one day.
"Duh, who else would I marry?"😍
The chats between Syd and Oliver as children and the way they are together when he returns is cute.
He is the absolute cutest character. He's quirky and funny without intending to be. And his child-like heart and look at the world is endearing and even a little sad, considering why he is the way he is.
There are some heavy topics and it is sad at times, but I chuckled here and there as well and got a little teary eyed.
