I think Ms Hartmann is becoming an autobuy for me! Such a great book. Oliver has my heart.

Starting off the month strong! This book was beautiful, but oh my was it HEAVY. I would suggest looking into trigger warnings. The romance aspect of this book was sweet with a lot of miscommunication, but I think that's fair considering Oliver's circumstances.

Wow, Jennifer Hartman never seems to disappoint! I loved this one, it was a MASTERPIECE. Everything was perfection, the plot, the buildup of the romance, the journey of healing on both ends. The PLOT-TWIST I did not see coming. All of it was *chefs kiss*!!

I absolutely adored Oliver and Sydney. There is something so pure and magical about their relationship, when Sydney was fighting her feelings for him as she didn’t want to hurt him I was screaming at the book as I just wanted them both to be happy together. There is something about Jennifer’s writing that always pulls such strong emotions from me.

I just, I could talk about the romance all day in this book. I was squealing from some of the lines dropped, I was so invested in them both and you know you are reading a good book when you are so obsessed and rooting for the main couple. Also the steam when it kicked in?? Holy hell it was good gooddddd!

This book does some dark in terms of that it follows a survivor of abduction but it isn’t as dark as I thought it be, if anything it has a lot of softness (maybe this might just be my tolerance for dark things talking thou

Let me start by saying - I loved ‘Still Beating’

I thought this was going to be just as amazing but it fell flat for me. I do think part of the problem for me, was the audio. Had a chose to read it, maybe I would have felt differently.

I had no emotional connection to either character and their relationship didn’t suck me in. Oliver was funny and the best part of the book was him discovering the world and his one liners. Sydney was selfish, obnoxious & absolutely unlikeable. Nothing like making a man run after you even after he was held hostage for years 😵‍💫

Beautifully told story

This book was such a lovely break from my normal reads and the character development really helped you relate and feel with them. Jennifer really had such a great writing style and I plan to read many more of her books.
