dark emotional sad

Jennifer Hartman’s ability to tell a story is fantastic. Her attention to detail is fantastic. Her characters have well-rounded personality traits that are realistic-as is the dialogue between them. I kind of love that her books are also dark…Bc let’s be real-life is scary and it sucks!

This was very enjoyable, and I flew through it. It reminded me of “Archer’s Voice”….but a little more believable and better written. I didn’t particularly love the ending, but overall-it was very good!

A really good book.

This is the best way to write a childhood friends to lovers trope. There is romance, mystery, thriller, etc. all rolled into one story. The ending had me in tears. ❤️

A slow, slow burn but totally worth it. I did not see that twist coming

OK, so I went in on this one totally blind, too, after reading, Still Beating. So in my review for Still Beating I’m sure I said that it was probably a heavier topic, but it was still beautiful. This book right here is truly a beautiful love story like I’ve never read before.
I still will say to check your trigger warnings. Because it does touch on some subjects it is not graphic, but the topics are discussed and insinuated.
I can’t decide which book I love more I think with this one I did laugh a lot more because of the relationship between Gabe and Sydney and even with Sydney and her sister Clementine. They were all so lively and funny. It was so cute.
OK, so this is a story of two best friends, Sydney and Oliver, who grew up together, playing together all the time actually had a bit of a crush on each other. Well one day Oliver gets taken and is not found until 22 years later. He was hidden away for years in some type of bunker or basement not coming outside at all so he has to reacclimate into the world completely. He knows nothing of cell phones knows nothing you know of technology. And of course, number one he does not know how to socialize or anything about relationships.
Sydney wants to help. Oliver, of course teaching him the ways of the world what’s changed but at the same time she’s trying to help him remember her and in doing that of course, they both start to develop feelings.

I could go on forever on this book it is just so good it’s so beautifully written. In two days, I read still beating, and Lotus and I regret nothing I’ve gotten a little sleep, and I regret nothing. I have a new favor Author
