One of those books I read as a kid that has been stuck with me ever since. You do not want to know what I searched to find this book xD Definitely want to reread it at some point

Reading this broke my heart several times. I still don't know how parents could treat a child like this.

Couldn't keep my attention. Won't be able to sell it to kids :(

Nice, quick read. Entirely personal. Something left me unsatisfied. May read her adult version- Falling Leaves.

WARNING! THIS BOOK MIGHT BE TO AMAZING FOR YOU.

If I could I would give this book more than 5stars.

When ever I think of this book I need to cry.

I had a hard time rating this book because i found that there were positives and negatives. I found Adelines story inspiring and was very happy that she continued her education. I also found her to be extremely intelligent even as a young child. One of the downsides for me was that sometimes she came off as quite whiny as she explained all the bad things in her life. I don't want to disrespect her in any way because i found her story to be really sad but i think a small change in writing style may have benefited this book. Also, i think that Adeline had alot in her life that was good and she had many oppurtunities that others did not have. If she acknowledged her luck i might feel more sympathetic for her.
