Interesting summaries of various personality tests, but too much of a biography than non-fiction for me.
It’s a great read and I probably would have rated it higher had I not already known quite a bit about the different personality tests she writes about. It’s a great beginner book to personalities.

A fun and easy to read explanation of all the usual suspects when it comes to personality tests. It definitely helped me understand my results better.
As someone who is a little nerdy about personality tests, this was a fantastic read! I appreciated how Anne simply and concisely examined several different personality tests to explain what they each mean for us. This book did give me a bit of a crisis of personality when it came to the chapter on the MBTI. For many years I have identified as an INFJ, but after reading something she wrote in the chapter about ISFJ and consequentially reading more about that online, I am now unsure. But that's part of what is to enjoy and gain from this book!
In typical MMD style, Bogel distills often complicated ideas into a conversational tone - and shows you how (and why!) to practically apply them in your life. I'm a personality junkie, but I still found Reading People helpful and insightful. This would be a great primer to get those people in your life who aren't into personality typing to see what they are missing.
I'm not sure why, but I thought this was going to be personality types and how it relates to reading, but it was more about finding your personality type. It was fine, just not what I thought, so I found myself skimming.
I loved this book! It's fascinating to identify different personality types and apply it to life. Having the premises of the book in mind makes communication a lot easier!
