DNF @ 44% because frankly, this is not a good book. There's too much going on in a book of this size and it's chaos.
- There are three main characters, only one of which is likeable and intriguing (Harriet)
- The book also skips between the present and the past
- Almost all the male characters are indistinguishable from each other
This book would be completely transformed if it was from one perspective, such as Harriet because a lot of this book is about her, or more loosely third person and not including every little nose hair about each witch.

Wow! I absolutely loved The Change by Kirsten Miller. I have to ask though, is this based on a true story? Read it and tell me if you can't see certain characters possibly based on certain horrific people we don't see enough of in the news.
I loved the dynamic between the 3 FMC's, everything that people are calling "menopause issues" and "feminist rage" are pretty much real-life things most woman go through during their 40's.
I loved that this was part fantasy, part thriller and part horror. Such a great book with a unique spin on fictional real-life stuff.
It's a mild thriller and if you read thrillers regularly you will be able to pick out the bad guys quite easily. I wasn't shocked with the whodunit plot, but I was with what happen to those characters and I'm here for it.
My only question for people who have read this author's work before, is which of her books should I read next.

I loved the concept of this book but the execution was rocky. The writing captivated me and I found many of the plots interesting. I struggled keeping up with all the characters and their personal stories and how those stories were involved in the main plot. It's a solid 3.5 stars, it would have been a 4 star read if it was about 100 pages shorter. It would have been an absolute 5 star if the book stayed on point for the entire journey.
