It’s honestly more of a 3.5 star book (once again.. darn halves!).
As someone who typically avoids Christmas stories and novellas, this was a stretch for me. However, as I enjoy Cleo’s writing, I opted to give it a try! I think my lower rating comes solely because I never feel like there’s enough story within a novellas. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the will they/won’t they tension and overall story… I just wish there was more! I really enjoy Cleo’s ability to write banter and bring those internal struggles to the page. The spice was hot and heavy, but no complaints there!
Overall, it was a cute story but was knocked down solely for personal reasons (felt a little like a tease, as more would’ve been better, and I don’t usually enjoy holiday stories). Definitely worth a read, though! Also, I can definitely see this as a set-up for another of couple of books, which, if that happens, I’m stoked to see!

I am always here for a short, steamy novella, and anything from Cleo White is a no brainer! The fact that this is book one in the "Daddy Issues" series is even better. It is like she knows exactly what I need at all times! Bram and Sophie are goals! Just because he is "forbidden fruit" doesn't mean that they can't be together.
Cleo has a way of writing forbidden, age-gap romances that make me adore the trope even more. Adding in forced proximity and a bit of holiday spirit, and this is a cute and steamy Christmas novella that everyone needs to read.

It was fine. Entertaining, spicy, etc. I did enjoy the characters and how there was just upfront communication and no lying especially between the friends. I’ll be reading the next one… lol
Bram and Sophie! Loved this! Quirky, flirty and fun! I was left wanting more! It was wrapped up nicely with a bow! Best friend’s dad done oh so well with a Christmas spin!
Such a quick holiday read! The forbidden tension was definitely there, and I was enjoying every little bit of it!
