I think I would have liked it better if I had read it instead of listening, because I wasn't so into the narrator. By the end of the book though I felt pretty invested in the Gallagher Girls and would be willing to give the next book a chance.

this STILL slaps. i love ally carter, i love the school, i love cammie, i love the friendship, i love the vibes. no notes

This book, and series, was the gateway book to my full blown reading addiction. I know people talk about how Harry Potter was the best thing that ever happened to them, and they really are great books, but this for me was the series that started it all.
Before I swan dived into the world of Cammie Morgan, I had no interest in reading what so ever (which is why I missed out on the whole "Harry Potter: main obsession" thing.)
From the moment I opened this book to the second I closed the last, this is and always will be my favorite series of books.
More on the subject of this, the first book, in particular I just love the whole aspect of a spy school hiding behind the facade of prissy all girls school. The hijinks and witty back and forth between friends, both in person and on Coms, were enough to keep me laughing late into the night.
Thank you, Ally Carter, for being this young girl's JK Rowling.

My absolute favorite series when I was a young reader. It's where I truly found my love for the strong, independent female main character. It's got spies, enemies, adventure, and even a little bit of romance. Truly everything a young reader could dream of!

i liked this book but now i have to wait for the sequel to be shipped to me

This is my favorite book series of all time, not even lying. I got the first 3 books of the series for Christmas in 2009, and I remember staying in my room for the rest of the day, enthralled by the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women, and the students who attended “to learn her skills, honor her sword, and keep her secrets… for all the days of their lives.” Reading about this school, I found a place of sisterhood and the importance of pride in one’s intelligence. Highly recommend to everyone, regardless of demographic groups. Just reread the series earlier this year, and it was more than worth it
