I first read this book when it came out in 2006. I was ten. But the idea thrilled me SO MUCH that I never forgot about it. Whenever I thought of spies, this novel came to mind (right after James Bond, of course).
The idea of a young female kicking ass and being independent has always inspired me. I mean, if she can do ALL of that, why can't I at least try to do something that will enable me to fend for myself?
I re-read this book in late 2011 and the rest of the series right before the fifth novel came out. It was even better than I had remembered it to be.
To be honest, you really can't ask for anything better than strong females and spies.
So, whenever someone asks me for books to read - whether it's for themselves, their younger siblings, or their kids - I will almost ALWAYS include this book. The off chance that I don't include it will be because I'm flustered and out of my mind. This series is THAT good and I swear I am not exaggerating.

omg i love this, i'm screaming at josh crashing their exams
What a fun book to read! If you love spies, Young Adult novels, teenage girls and romance.. This is the book to read.
Probably 3-3.5 stars. I liked it and it was a nice break from more serious books. But it's definitely a tween book, so perhaps not for everyone. Still, as silly as some of it was, I enjoyed the story and the adventure. As long as you're not looking for serious writing, it's a fun and quick read. I enjoyed it enough that I will likely check out the rest of the series. I think younger readers would probably enjoy it even more.
I love Bex and Liz! They're awesome. The way she described Macey she sounded just like Thalia Grace from Percy Jackson.I like Josh. He sounds so nice an sweet. Um, i'd like to go to the Gallagher Academy, if it's real. But, I suck at sports, and only know a little Spanish and German. I'd be more behind than Macey was.... I think Cammie really funny. That's all I really wanted to say about this book. It was good.
I started this book because of the audible book thingie like many people did. It was our main character as a kid. And i loved that book so when i didn't know what to read i decided to pick up this on my kindle app for 2,99. And I loved it ! You don't need to know anything about this book. just don't take it to seriously. Don't excpect it to be mind blowing and good writing and awesome fight scenes or what ever just don't expect anything and i will garruntee you a good time. This book is just so addicting and fun just so much fun. I would have reread this so many times if i had read it waay earlier like 14/16. This is a good fun book that just awesome. Go read it.

I have always loved stories of tough girl spies, combine that with boarding school secrets and you have a real winner on your hands. This first book in the series introduces you to Cammie Morgan, daughter of two master spies, who attends the Gallager Academy a school for young spies. Cammie and her friends use their spy skills to learn about Cammie's love interest. The further books build on to the mystery of Cammie's parents and her spy lineage.
I was obsessed with these books in like fifth grade I think? I wanted to see if they still hold up and lowkey they do. It was a fun, quick read and it definitely explains a lot about my childhood I think.
