Due to a mistake I read this as the last book. I still find that with the Background Knowledge of the following books and reading it a thousand times. That This was the first “Girls“Book I fell in Love with. Cam was (is still) one of the book characters that gave me so much knowledge, witty and everything else a teenage girl, that never will be a spy can need.

Cammie Morgan is your regular girl. Average looks, smart, a spy. Okay, so maybe she isn't completely regular. But what's a spy to do when she meets an ordinary boy? Can Cammie figure out how to keep a relationship with someone on the outside?
It's been a while since I first read LKYK, but from what I remember, my friend recommended it and I eventually got it from the bookstore. I devoured it and went to the bookstore as soon as possible to get the second one.

This book was a favorite of mine as a young reader, and it held up really well. Is it a little corny and cheesy at times? Yeah, but isn’t most YA fic?
Minor: Death of parent
This book was refreshing. It took me an evening (3.5 hours) to read. I enjoyed it, it was cliché, I hope that there’s more spying and depth in the next books, but overall it was a fun read.

Sepertinya gue udah ketuaan buat baca teenlit 😂.
Not If I Saved You First. Itu juga gue kasih 3 bintang, lol. Kayaknya emang buku penulis ini bukan my cup of tea. Karena baik judul teenlitnya maupun judul dewasanya (The Blonde Identity) sama - sama ga klik di gue.

Moderate: Death of parent
I could barely sit through this entire book! The plus side is that I was able to.
I bought this a few years back, maybe 4...5 years ago and I finished it after 4 years of having it clutter and take space in my book collection.
I don't hate it. In fact, I'm keeping it because it was light read. I decided to take a second look at the book because I needed to take a break from reading my usual dark, emotional, and complicated novels. So I went for this simple, light-hearted novel. But it doesn't deserve the spot that it currently has in my shelves. But it's there.
When I first bought this, I read a few chapters then put it down thinking I can come back to it later, and I never have given it a second thought until 4 years later.
I understand that the book is closely targeting a pre-teen audience and not 15-year-olds (as I was at the time I gave it a second chance) such as myself. Some people like it, my friends and I found it extremely boring and unfathomable.
Despite my quite negative review, the novel did have some good qualities and it definitely fulfilled it's purpose to me as a break from mind-boggling novels. It was slightly amusing with some humorous jokes and situations. Some characters were almost relatable, and the book is quite an adventurous read.
Although It didn't have any "high" moments or memorable scenes, it was acceptable. Not all books need those anyway unless it wants to generate a genuine 5-star (from me, and other critical bookworms).
Cammie's, the protagonist, love story was a little upsetting since I was expecting a cheesy and fluffy romantics ending, but I guess the title
of the book did give a warning—you just don't know about it until the end.
So, she's heartbroken and he doesn't even remember a spectacle of it? Aww :( but I guess that's quite practical enough in her situation.
The protagonist was a bit too ambitious of a character. She was basically good in everything and yet she was described as a modest female who didn't care about how she looked and blah blah blah... And lo and behold, of course a cute guy falls in love with her.
Read it if you'd like. I have no qualms or extremes dislikes about the book. It's a light read; charming and acceptable.
I have no distasteful warnings.
But, if you are picking up this book expecting to have your soul be riddled with life-changing moments, then don't get your hopes up. It doesn't have one.

A fun read, light and refreshing after I read a series of sad and depressing books.
I love how the vast majority of the characters are either girls (young women) or women, and even historical figures like Amelia Earhart get a mention (as supposed graduates of this spy school for women, heh).
The world of Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women is so unexpected, and there are surprises and delights at every turn.
It’s as if Hogwarts is crossed with the latest and coolest spy movie, complete with hidden passageways and spy gadgets, plus a bunch of high school girls, who also worry about hot male teachers and talking to boys.
I love spy movies and YA novels like this, and it’s rare that you have the two combined, and it’s actually funny to boot.
Looking forward to the next book.
