Another amazing Lady Julia novel. I may or may not skip ahead to read the Julia/Brisbane scenes. But I can't help it. I love them. I love their chemistry. And I love these mysteries.
Ordered the third book from the library while I was reading this so I wouldn't lose any time.

Have to agree with the other reviewers on this one...still good, but not as good as her first one. I'm hoping the third returns to the standard of Silent in the Grave. I'd also like Julia to get somewhere with Brisbane. And if this relationship DOESN'T go somewhere definite, I'm going to be mighty disappointed.
An excellent follow up to Raybourn's debut novel in this series. Julia remains interesting and feisty, though I wish there had been a *little* more romance in it. The attraction is definitely there, but I'm kind of ready for them to just rip each others clothes off and have at it already. Needless to say I'll be getting Book 3 the day it comes out :)
I had forgotten I had this waiting to be read until I did a tidy up of the to-read pile on Friday - and then it jumped near to the top of the list.
I really like Lady Julia and her bonkers family - and Nicholas Brisbane is intriguing as I don't know what. This is a fun romp through solving a murder - and one where not everything gets neatly tied up at the end. I'm fighting the urge to buy book 3 *rightnow*
