Wow. Now I know why everyone's obsessed with Geoff Johns-the man knows his stuff. This was certainly an amusing read. I cannot wait to keep reading these!

I was interested to pick this up since I enjoyed Aquaman the movie. I have never read a solo Aquaman graphic novel before this either. The story starts abit differently from the film but I got the gist of it. Arthur still feels like he doesn't belong and Mera is keeping secrets from him. I find that graphic novels are easier to read in paperback rather than ebook version. I would not mind reading more about this take on Aquaman.

Best Aquaman story ever. Fell in love with the storyline, the deep characterisation, the art and the coloring is superb (loved it so much I decided to read other comics which has the same author and artist/colourist!). Best part is it shows Aquaman for the powerful hero that is - not just a guy who talks to fish - as well as showing the the real man beneath as the reluctant king/superhero. Reading the other volumes now and it's taking time as there's plenty more. Also I have an Aquaman statue in my room. When my friends come to my place, the girls always gets confused because he doesn't look like Jason Momoa... And I have to explain that the comic Aquaman is different from the brown skinned, hunky amd bearded movie version!

I read this in the garden yesterday in about an hour or so. It was really good, and the art was really cool. The story...was good, and well paced for the most part. But it did seem a bit rushed in the end. However, Geoff Johns knows how to weave a tale anyway, no doubt about that. Mera is my new fave female superhero. I for sure want to read more Aquaman in the future.

Pretty simple story, but fun nonetheless! Made Aquaman accessible to someone like me, who isn't that familiar with the character. Also does a good job at being aware of the perception of Aquaman being a joke, by having the people in the world of the comic not take him seriously. Geoff Johns is becoming more of a favorite (really enjoyed the first two New 52 volumes of Green Lantern) and the artwork is just beautiful to look at. Will definitely be checking out the next couple of volumes.
