Not the typical 'chick-lit novel' that I was thinking it would be, and I will be forever grateful for it!
The depth of Cannie, the struggles she faces, the happiness she finds, all of it is just a big piece in the Good in Bed puzzle.
Love it, and very happy that I chose it among all the other novels I could have picked off the shelves.

Borderline lit fic, borderline women’s fiction - I enjoyed this! Takes me a hot minute to read a physical book, but I liked coming back to this one and seeing Cannie’s little mess. I hate her name, and I don’t love a surprise pregnancy trope. But they made it not so much about romance/baby and instead made it about self growth/self love. A light read even though it deals with some heavy issues.
Always has to have a happy ending. I predicted this one about half way through.
Title is misleading. It's not about sex.

I initially read this in middle school and re-read in high school and I remember loving this book at that time but I think maybe it's just not the right book for me at this point in my life anymore.
It felt like 60% of the book was just her pining for her crappy ex. and the last 20% of the book was Cannie being jaded and angry at the world, which wasn't super enjoyable to read.
I think maybe I'm just not the target audience for this book anymore.

I expected this book to be a bit more formulaic than it was. I enjoyed the complexity developed in the story about 3/4 of the way through. However, the complexity arriving at the end of a text that felt much more predictable through most of the story did mess a bit with the pacing of the narrative. Side note: I love the way the narrator of the audio book voiced the character of Tanya.
