I loved how this book set things up. I don't want to spoil much, but I really enjoyed how things turned out by the end. It also does a great job of continuing to build the world and characters from the first book and adds in some great new places and characters.

That one thing from the first book that I didn't like it's a bit more pronounced in this book. But it doesn't matter because the book is amazing!! I'm ready to start the third book now, I just wish I had more time to devote to just books!

Great sequel. Lots of action, dragons and new characters. (Plucky was awesome! I've never read a character quite like her.) Trenton is still a great main character and I really love his relationship with Kallista. They still argue and fight sometimes, but they care deeply about each other. The ending was crazy! Can't wait to see what happens in book three!

Josh (10 years old) loved this book. He can't wait for the next in the series to come out.
