National Treasure but for folks who listen to sad music for fun.

I really loved the premise, but I felt like there wasn't enough of a plot to keep the story moving along. I think the idea with the police thinking she tried to kill her husband should have been expanded on more to add more suspense and make it more difficult to figure out what was going on with the old apothecary.

As someone who enjoys the mystical and magical, the idea of a hidden apothecary and its clientele was intriguing. The tale is woven with interesting characters with quiet histories that come to light as you read along. I found the story sad in a way, and also very reflective.

Also had to return to the library but I just was not feeling this like I thought I would. I started skipping chapters to just read the story about Eliza/Nella because the present day story was kinda of meh and I am sure it all fits in a weird way but I didn't care to find out.
