gave up. This book was too slow and a bit silly. I didn't even like Felicity's friends was a bit annoyed when they invited themselves along on this road trip. Felicity was boring, Alec was shy and though I love shy types, it didn't grab my attention enough.

I've loved this series ever since I stumbled upon it while using Wattpad.

*COMPARISONS BETWEEN THE BOOK AND THE WATTPAD VERSION IS INCLUDED* MY HOPELESS-ROMANTIC HEART CANNOT TAKE THIS!!!!! Phew now that I got that out of my system lets begin. The author Ali Novak is quite a familiar author to me since she has been on Wattpad for years. I enjoy her writing style because the voice of her characters actually seem appropriate for they're ages, I mean come on we've all read a book where the 50-year-old author tries to sound 17. It never works out. However, Ali Novak did an amazing job ( I'm pretty sure she is not 50) Felicity is a character I feel that everyone can see a little bit of themselves in. In fact, I found almost every character very lovable in here. Let me cut to the chase, one-night during a charity masquerade ball Felicity has a drink spilt all over her dress (that she was planning to return) by a masked stranger. However, she and this masked stranger named "Aaron" hit off as they bond over music, as the night comes to an end she finds out that "Aaron" is actually *gasp* Alec Williams from the very famous band "The Heartbreakers". After uncovering some information about Felicity's sister who ran away four years ago, Alec, Felicity and her two other friends set off to go find her. I actually read the Wattpad version of this story sometime last year and I had also enjoyed it. If you like reading Chick-lit books (it's like the chick-flick version of a book) I recommend you read it, this actually had me on the edge of my seat unlike some the mystery books I've read. *SPOILER AHEAD* I'm going to compare the difference between the book and the Wattpad version of "Paper Hearts"
Legend
a)Wattpad b)Book

1. Title
a)The Queen of Hearts
b)Paper Hearts

2.Situation in general
a) On Wattpad it's sort of like all of Novak's stories are taking place in the same universe, so in this story the daughter of Cole Walter (my life with the Walter boys) named Lucy is cousins with Stella (you know the girl who is dating Oliver Perry; lead singer of the band) and Lucy wants Alec to be her prom date to rub it in her ex's face. The only problem with that is Felicity; Lucy's best friend slowly starts to fall in love with Alec as they start to form a bond
b) You read my review didn't you?

3.Friends
a) Emmy: the bisexual friend who ends up dating Lucy
b)Asha and Boomer: They're besties with Felicity despite the fact that they didn't tell her that they been dating for months

4.Vanessa
a) Vanessa and Drew (Stella and Cara's twin brother) start dating
b) Vanessa gets married to some guy named Chris

5. Cara
a)Cara and JJ are dating
b) Cara is briefly mentioned

6.Felicity
a) Lucy sets up Felicity and Drew to be together cause Felicity had a low-key crush on him, but after sharing one kiss they realize that they were better off as friends, but to avoid Lucy from playing match-maker they fake date.
b) Drew isn't really mentioned and Felicity is not associated with him

7.Time
a)School year
b)Summer

8. First kiss
a) Felicity spills the beans on her "relationship" with Drew to Alec when he asks her about it. Only to find Alec relieved because he thought Drew was cheating on her because he saw him hanging out with Vanessa. This piece of information allowed Alec to kiss Felicity when they went to go get ice-cream.
b) They share their first kiss in the library

Tbh this is all I remember but I definitely recommend reading both versions because the Wattpad one has more of a fun vibe but the book is definitely more interesting.

FINAL VERDICT- I love me some JJ

A sweet, predictable story

Felicity and Alec are so adorable! It made me have really bad anxiety when Felicity didn’t trust Alec. It made me scared knowing there was a chance of Alec and Felicity not being together.

Felicity Jole is so talented and I really want to buy her necklaces from what I know.

I like how Violet handled the situation in the end, but then my mind changed when I read the third book. I know it’s not out yet officially, but Ali has already finished 13 chapters on Wattpad. I don’t really know how to feel anymore. I don’t want to say that she’s nice, but I think Ali is going to make show her real feelings and they’ll make up. I am getting way too off track.

If you are in love with sweet and funny YA contemporary, this series is a must read! And if you are interested but don’t want to spend money, download the app Wattpad and all of @fallzswimmer ‘s books (including ones that will never be published) will be on there). And the first, second, and first thirteen chapters of the third book in the Heartbreak Chronicles.

I was so excited to read this, I loved the Heartbreakers last year and I was hoping this one would be just as good. There was something missing from this one, was it the connection I felt with the characters, the usual tropes that added to the already huge one, something was missing but it was still an enjoyable book.

If I had a physical copy of this book, it would surely join its predecessors on my favorites shelf.

I read Ali Novak’s first book My Life With the Walter Boys shortly after it was published, and did the same with The Heartbreakers when it came out. Sadly when this one came out, I couldn’t get my hands on a copy. However I recently discovered it on Libby, and tore through it quicker than anything else I’ve read recently.

It took me a bit to get into the story, having to get used to the author’s writing style again, but I quickly fell in love. The main character Felicity and her best friends Asha and Boomer were amazing and lovable, and once Alec and the rest of the Heartbreakers were brought onto the page, I was immediately reminded why I loved them in the first book in this series.

I also really loved how the main romance wasn’t always at the forefront of everything, sometimes taking a backseat to Felicity’s search for her sister. With so much going on in the story, it was nice to see a bit more of a realistic list of priorities for the characters.

I absolutely cannot wait for the next book to be published, and hopefully it will include another cameo from previous characters like this one did.

Note: read Queen of Hearts on Wattpad.

Didn't enjoy this as much as the first book. Lucy and Felicity irritated me a little bit.
And Emmy's sudden revelation at the end? Him and Lucy getting together almost immediately? I don't buy that.
