I was more than halfway done purely holding on to get the Z for my annual A-Z challenge but I can't listen to another word.
What started out as humorous and quirky turned into tired and crappy. The same sort of jokes over and over wore me down. The comments about a good looking lesbian being a waste and heterosexual conversions and "fags" pushed me over the edge. Well, what really pushed me over the edge was the handling of the POVs but I was so close to the edge by the time that started happening it didn't take much.
I tried increasing the speed of the audio book but even at 2x the normal rate, I couldn't spend another minute listening. I'll have to find a different book for the letter Z because I'm done with this one.

This is a reread for me. I originally read this series in 2013, or at least as much of the series as my digital library had at the time. Now 3 years later and the same library has gotten around to adding additional titles to the series. Even though I sort of remembered what went on in the books everything was just a little hazy, so reread was in order.
Now I remember why I liked this series. It is full of snark and wit, side by side with gruesome horror and a zombie apocalypse, everything a growing Badseedgirl needs. This is a quick read and fits in nicely with my summer reading list.

A lot of cursing, but if zombies were getting me, I'd be cursing too. I liked the humorous voice used by this author. I will definitely sign on for another ride as they try and escape the zombies. :)
