Between the 1st and 2nd (my personal favorite) First Law books in terms of quality, another unsurprisingly great hit from Abercrombie. Really enjoy the setup of (mis)adventures of the various degrees of First Law protagonist failchildren. If you thought their antiheroics and misdeeds were gripping, wait till you see their kids!

In true Lord Grim Dark fasion, this book kept me on edge the entire time. We are now seeing the next generation start to take over and I fear it will be a mess of a ride. Abercrombie has me turning every which way in the book trying to guess what will happen next. I flip flopped on the new characters so many times going from loving them to hating them to just hoping they survive. Very excited to continue Age of Madness

10/10

Once again, I find myself just doing chores around the house to have an excuse for listening to this audibook. It was absolutely fantastic. The story is pretty good, but the characters are stunning. How does he do it?
