- Main Couple: Wrath/Rain
- POVs Included: Single Female POV (Rain)
- Book Playlist (Wrath & Rain Book Series Playlist)

After the President and her soldiers betrayed Rain and tried to kill her to kill Wrath at the end of the last book, Rain runs off with Wrath for refuge. During their time together they grow closer, but she also fears his motives and doesn’t know if she can trust him or his feelings for her. And when she finds out how she is connected to him and who she is, things get even more complicated.

I loved this one for most of it! I enjoyed that Wrath and Rain were together for most of the book. Their banter and chemistry was so much fun to read.

But near the end Rain starts to make some really idiotic choices that I don’t personally agree with and she ends up making an even bigger mess of things.

I’m looking forward to the final book in the trilogy, but I’m hoping that Rain redeems herself in that one because she did some really stupid shit at the end of this book.

They say terrible decisions make for great stories. The book definitely delivered on the characters’ terrible decisions. This is the second book in a trilogy and the author made sure to blow up everything from the first book. It was much spicier and also much cheesier than the first book. We dial the whole dark romance/villain/morally grey thing up several notches. I mean yeah, he’s a villain and a daemon and because of that the book asks you to suspend some disbelief and make allowances for some super abusive behavior and that’s not for everyone. The end of the book really harps on a “betrayal” that feels unfair to the FMC. I’m hoping book three has some resolution there. For real though, I’m not sure where all the characters go from here because they really blew everything up.

I am so shook…
the betrayal is fierce in this one. Like how are you gonna be that mad when you knew who he was in the first place. Please be so fr
