I don't know a thing about bridge, and that was a huge freaking handicap for this book. I can't even imagine how much went over my head, as I had absolutely no idea what was being discussed every time the game came up- which come up, it did. Excessively.

I don't think I've ever read a bad Christie novel, but it was a little bit hard to really get attached to a book revolving around a subject that I'm completely ignorant about (and that was not explained to the uninitiated).

Brilliant. Quite possibly my favorite of the Hercule Poirot mysteries I have read so far.

Great fun. Shocking twists. Who is the real murderer? Quel surprise! It must be said that this book, probably like most of the author’s, stinks of colonialism. Product of its time and place. But a very enjoyable mystery.
