Another masterpiece by Agatha Christie. At every stage of the plot, suspicion is cast on one of the suspects. Just as the reader begins to affirm one's opinion of the murderer, a twist in the tale forces one to rethink matters. Repeatedly, throughout the story we are made aware of the fact that "The least likely suspect is the most likely murderer" and the tale is woven until the very end. As always the justifications were plausible and the writing skillful as ever. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

I really liked the general plot of this mystery. Agatha Christie's not very best but one of the better books in my opinion.

At this point i think I'm biased to agatha christie, I love this woman and everything she writes.
Hercule Poirot is growing on me SO FAST, If i don't read about him i instantly miss him, he's becoming one of my favorite characters of all time. I enjoy him and his narcissistic little grey cells.
This novel was completely based on Psychology, a different approach but I still found it really interesting.
One other thing i love about agatha is the fact that she hints at her other books, but girl must you SPOIL them ????

Fantastic
Another one that I don't recall having read before. Brilliant. And I loved that they dragged in Poirot, Mrs. Ariadne Oliver, Colonel Race AND Superintendent Battle! Brilliant.

5* I really enjoyed this Hercule Poirot mystery. As I hadn’t heard of this particular Poirot book before, my expectations were low, initially. Then I read the ‘intro’ that Agatha Christie had written and I was immediately interested. A psychological mystery. One where one of the four suspects have murdered the victim. No unexpected twist at the end.
With these expectations, I went into the novel and really enjoyed it. The clues of character that Poriot picked up on and how he picked up on them were very interesting and the twists that were included at the end were very enthralling. Of course Agatha Christie can include twist even when there are only four possible murderers! I enjoyed cards on the table a lot and I enjoyed the character defining and the sense of time still moving/ events still happening after the crime (as some of the novels which happen in an area eg an island or house seem to be focused on being solved in the moment and and the only ‘happenings’ are the questionings.). I also loved how it felt like I knew more of what Poirot was thinking in contrast to some of the other novels where it seems as though Poirot has already figured out the mystery whilst in the book they’re still just collecting clues. (Or it could just be that I’m not good at solving these mysteries

Not great, not bad - a decent bit of escapism, but nothing overly special.
