Just when you think you can't get enough of the drama, it comes. London Prep has the perfect amount of angst that you never knew you needed. Jillian's words will leave you in an emotional roller-coaster. Mallory goes through every emotion of being young and in love. Harry, Noah and Mohammad are just the best friends you could ever ask for. They will pull you in. They will hook you. You will want to know all the things.

These books aren't amazingly well written, but somehow, they have an addicting quality to them that forces me to continue reading.

I will say that I have skimmed multiple sections throughout, though, because when Mallory has a conversation with someone who isn't one of the main three, it honestly comes across as an interview. She will ask some weird leading question, and then the adult or whomever will respond. Then she will ask them how they feel about that. So on, so forth. It's just not a natural conversation.

And the word "banters" is honestly used too much

The drama, however, is enthralling, and it's kind of like watching a car crash. I can't look away.

Geez... I'm so torn over this book. I love the relationship that Mal and Harry have but, the connection for me lies with Mal and Noah.
So needless to say, this book has me all kind of messed up. I really, really want there to be more between Noah and Mallory however, the thought of Harry being hurt - again - tears me up. Obviously, I NEED the next book!

Book one was good. The characters were interesting but book two turned into a total cliche. Mallory went from spunky and self confident to a whining, clueless human who reads into everything and turns everything dramatic. Noah goes from a human with a backbone and a personality to a brooding, spineless lump of a human. Mohammad and Harry are completely one dimensional. Not impressed.

I received and advanced copy of Jillian's second book in her new YA series, London Prep. I read book 1 a month or so ago and loved it.
The series follows a young Mallory on her adventure in a student exchange in London. This is a HUGE change for Mallory coming from NYC. Book 1 is centered around her first week in London with her host family.
Book 2, as you can probably guess is based on her second week abroad. I really enjoy reading about these characters and all of their crazy adventures. Of course, it's not all fun and games. There are love triangles, arguments, rivalries, etc.
Jillian, as always, did a wonderful job with this series. She has given all of the characters such wonderful depth and makes it seem as if we know them personally. She did a wonderful job mixing emotion, as well as humor, and of course some teenage angst. And we can't forget, just like book 1, she leaves us with another cliff hanger! @jilliandodd, I need more information! You can't leave me hanging like that! Lol.
If you love YA, or just some cute London boys, I highly recommend this series! Just like every other book of Jillian's that I've read, I thoroughly enjoyed this one, and can't wait for book 3!
Now, for the QOTD:
If you've read London Prep, are you team Harry, Noah, or Mohammad?
AOTD: I'm 100% team Noah. Anyone who isn't is crazy. (Unless you're team Mohammad, then I forgive you. Lol.)

This book picks up right after book #1 ends.

Mallory just rekindled her relationship with Harry when Noah finally makes a move on her. Mallory is obviously vonflicted with who she likes most but she chooses Harry because he is the consistent one for her and doesn‘t have so many mood swings like Noah.

The second week at London Prep starts and you can see how Mallory is struggling with Noah‘s mood swings, her thoughts about Harry and Noah and not really having a girlfriend to talk about everything that‘s happebing.

Harry and Mallory are sooo cute together and her friendship with Noah get‘s better. She mostly talks to Mohammed about her struggles with everything but tries her hardest to become friends with another Girl.

In the end Noah finally tells her how he feels about her and we‘re back to Mallory struggeling with her feelings for Harry and Noah.

I still can‘t decide who she should be with because I love them both. But I‘m excited to see what Jillian has in store for us next.

This book gets a little more involved than the last book, and there is for sure more character developments, and I love that the characters are growing with the books. This book is Mallory's opening up book we shall call it. She grows more as a person and it's interesting to see. Being a teenager is hard, being a teenager in a love triangle, with confused feelings sucks even more.
This book continues the journey of exchange student Mallory and her 3 British guy friends. She is struggling with a lot and learning personal growth as are Noah, Harry and Mohammed. This is still a sweet safe YA book, I would say 14-18 is perfect, heck maybe even 13. Like with teenagers, there is some drinking, and language, but still innocent enough it won't scar your kiddo for life.
