Compared to other novels by Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility is definitely not her best work. I still admire her writing style, her observations of society and its subtle critiques but as a whole, this book dragged on several times and all in all did not have me as involved with her characters as I usually am. There are much better books out there by Jane Austen.

I do appreciate Jane Austen in the way, that she was certainly one of the first really influencial female authors. But that's about it. Her works just aren't for me. The store is pretty much just character-drive so I often felt as if nothing was happening and were really bored. If you like her works I am really happy for you, they just didn't work for me.
