4 stars out of 5 why? maybe it is just me but after 2 books of kenzie and hunter I kind of wanted a hea. This book leaves us with another cliffy, not a big one but still kenzie and hunters story isn't finished. the wedding the dealings with brittany, and the next book is about hailey and mason sure there will be enough kenzie and hunter in it but I would have loved for them to have their wedding in their book not someone else'is but again maybe that is just me, I do love the series right now so I will read book 3 just to read more about hunter and kenz., not much of a fan of Mason, even though his 'reasoning' for being protective towards kenzie is reasonable I find him so selfish and could not stand him in book 1 a little more in book 2 but still not a fan.

SO. DULL. I refuse to read anymore books from this series. I laughed several times because of the cheesy plot and dialogue. I definitely do not recommend anyone reads this series.

Holy roller coast ride Batman!!! This one has a lot of ups and downs. Between the swoon worthy moments to the moments you really want to beat some one up, this book had everything to keep you on your toes.
What I love is that this book picks up right after the previous. Hunter is beyond the boy you want to bring home to mom and dad and proves it during this book. I bawled during so many moments. I wanted to smack both Hunter and Kenzie during their brain farts! I really enjoyed how this one came together and how things came full circle for these two.
Once again, this is one of those books that is a smooth and easy read. I could not put it down once I started! Cannot wait to see what happens in the next!

Hunter has a lot going on with his newborn son and his fiancée Kenzie still in coma and is more than thrilled when she finally gets better. But from there, their personal drama increases dramatically.
Kenzie has to adjust to being a new mother to her baby son, feeling insecure. Especially because of this nurse, caring for her son and fiancé, who now also will come home with her. Brittany is still around, convinced that Kenzie's baby is Dominic's and so is Hunter's estranged, criminal father, who seems to show up randomly wherever they are. And Kenzies father has secret...

As the first book was a solid read and ended with a cliffhanger, I needed to have this one. And I loved how the start of this overlapped with the end of the first book. And that it was written from Hunter's perspective.
But same as the first book I really liked the plot and how the story generally developed but there were also many eye-rolling moments. Like the telling-not-showing ones. I really get irritated by "she said, joking" and he said, fooling with her".

I liked being suprised quite a few times. When I expected drama, there was none. But there was a lot of drama I didn't see coming. Or I saw it coming but it happened much later.
I liked most of the cast and they were mostly understandable in their feelings. Kenzies insecurity, the jealousy, Hunter being torn and Mason, having his own voice now, also got less ridiculous. That nurse was a good addition, the whole new group of people was interesting.

I didn't get that time passing without much happening. It's too random and completely uneccessary. And does Jason now just stay away? Seems kinda easy.

What I hated was all the secrets all the time. Kenzie remembers Brittany at the accident and of all people, the only one she tells about it is her ex who cheated on her with Brittany? And Hunter, plus Kenzie's whole family, know it was Brittany but they don't want to tell her? This is just stupid.
I don't get her, I get him being stressed out by finding out all that stuff, needing to deal with it and waiting for the right moment. And especially she behaves immature. And hypocritical when she finds out.
But basically not talking - at all - about the accident is unnatural. Also I don't get how there are no consequences.

I'll definetely go for the next book in the series because they're just so easy to listen to and I really want to know, where things are going from here. And the end was a really good one. And there are still a few question I'd like to be answered. And for Kenzie to learn that Hailey knew because especially Jaylinn didn't deserve the hate. I think the author should think about including consequences.

I decided to listen to this book on Audible. I had listened to the first one and it ended off with a lot of uncertainty. I enjoyed the first one but this one kind of annoyed me to be honest.

One thing that bothered me was McKenzie. In this book I found her in incredibly annoying. I know that she is only 20 but she just acts very immature. Something specifically that bothered me about her was how she over reacts a out such little things. She takes something that could be almost nothing and blows it up. Example being when Hunter finally told her about what was going on with Jason or when her family told her that her father worked for the FBI. She took that and ran with it and didn't speak to her family of Hunter for weeks. Instead of hearing them out and saying I understand you want to protect me but please don't keep things from me. Especially when they involve me. That would have been so much more simple.

Moving on to something else that annoyed me to no end, her parents. Every single time they are talking to her they call her baby girl. They NEVER refer to her as anything else and that is incredibly irritating. Even in one conversation they would call her baby girl at least three times. They never even called her by her name. I'm probably just being nit pickey but I honestly couldn't stand any interactions with her parents because of this.

Another irritating thing is her brothers. They have to be involved and interfere in EVERYTHING. Honestly most of these two books probably wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for her brothers. They need to learn to mind their own business and stay out of McKenzie's life.

Hunter and McKenzie were also getting on my nerves. Anytime they started to feel overwhelmed instead of talking about it, they passenger son off to one of their parents and took off for a getaway. You have a new baby. You can't just drop your responsibility as a parent and just runaway from your issues. That missed me off. They didn't need all of those getaways because nothing was going on.

The random switching POVs really annoyed me. I thought that they didn't add much to the story and I just didn't understand the point. The first book was just McKenzie's and then Hunger's at the end. That's fine because it was necessary. The random jumping from McKenzie to Hunter to Mason to Haley was just weird. I didn't feel that their point of view really added anything to the story.

I was kind of let down by the whole Jason situation. We found of new information about Brittany being his daughter and Lyn being his girlfriend and nothing comes of it. Hunter confronts them once and that's it? They didn't want anything and they just leave them alone? No. That was a huge let down because I was anticipating something big happening. I thought maybe Jason would go after McKenzie or even the baby and he did nothing but show up and pies people off.

Something that was huge and just dropped was who caused McKenzie to get into the accident. In the beginning everyone was loaded and they were going to find out who was responsible. They all begin to think that Brittany had something to do with it and then everyone stops caring. No one really brings it up again. No one goes to the police to tell them who they think it was. We don't find out why they did it. Nothing. Maybe that's something that gets wrapped up in the next book but I am not interested in finding out. The characters were way too annoying. I felt what was going on was supposed to be a huge deal but it really was basically nothing. I am definitely disappointed.

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the first, it felt a little rushed and overall things were left unresolved, I know there are more books but I would have liked Hunter and CC's side of things a little more wrapped up.

This book is so full of secrets that it was soo annoying in the end.
In the previous one, MacKenzie was involved in an accident. Now she’s fighting for her life while Hunter is on his own as a single dad.
Hunter and the baby? Cute!! He’s such a great dad and I loved every scenes with those two in them. I love that he is so worried but still caring.

Well, when MacKenzie wakes up, she is faced with the real world again, including the accident, the one who ran her off the street, a baby, a nurse who is clearly into her husband (I’m glad about this substory cause CC and Hunter deal well with her :D), a freaky man and a lot of secrets.
So, I was disappointed with:
- CC’s first reaction to her son. I just couldn’t understand her reasoning. I mean, what was going on?
- I cannot believe that she doesn’t tell the police what happened during the accident. Where is her inner mama bear? This bitch tried to kill her baby!
- I can’t believe she is so insecure about her body. I mean, she should be glad that she is alive, that her baby is alive, that she can even have a baby… And why isn’t she breastfeeding??
- That was that about CC. Now let’s talk about Hunter.
- Jason appears and what does CC’s family do? What does Hunter do? They totally try to shield her. Cause they don’t want her to worry. Well, guys, guess again! She should worry! I mean, this creep keeps calling, this creep is a threat! Hunter’s way of protecting his family by keeping all of this a secret is crappy. When you don’t know who is a threat, how can you protect yourself from it?
- Kissing as a distraction? Only works in movies and apparently romance books.
- Hunter is such a jerk. After secret one is out, he is still a pussy and doesn’t open up to CC. I can totally understand that she doesn’t want to see him anymore. I mean, WTH.
- They just had a baby. And now again sex without protection? I mean, guys, talk about irresponsibility…
- And then the shit Hunter pulls? Drink & drive?? Being reckless sure won’t help his case…
And don’t even get me started on her family. I mean, come on, the guys all knew but the sweet little precious daughter didn’t? I mean, wow, ever heard of feminism? There is just so much shit going on, it’s unbelievable.

Concerning the writing style, I love 2 POVs but this time it was at times hard to follow since there was sometimes CC’s POV with all the happenings on Thursday and then Hunter’s POV from what happened the day before. Sometimes chronology isn’t so bad.

Yeah, but all in all, I kinda still liked this book. I was in tears at times :D
