A lovely picture book about the change of seasons and what there's to look forward to for the next one.

This is a cute children’s picture book about two young kids who each season anticipate the next one and the excitement that that season brings. I liked the illustrations.

This one missed the mark for me. I didn't like how the children were illustrated, and the seasonal images felt generic.

With each season, a brother and sister enjoy one another's company, whether it be outside or inside, on a tire swing or at the kitchen table, admiring the mound of pecans they gathered that afternoon. Starting with summer, this lyrical picture book shows the passage of time and how each season bleeds into the next. This is a joyful celebration of family and nature that many readers will connect to. The lush illustrations by Daniel Miyares elevate the text and perfectly capture the feel of the four seasons.

A simple, repetitive and comforting book that celebrates the change of seasons and the fun activities and opportunities each season holds.

Children's picture book. As the title implies, this book is an ode to the seasons. A family goes through the year, celebrating which each season brings. They start in the summer, with a visit to the lake and picking blueberries. Fall finds them playing outdoors and filling their pockets with pecans. Winter brings a snow day and spring brings a visit to their uncle's farm. Simple, lyrical text with beautiful watercolor illustrations make this a great choice for learning about the seasons. Reading this story would be a good introduction to an activity where children could describe their favorite season, with words and/or pictures.
