I loved Leon and Rae’s relationship. They weren’t enemies to lovers which a lot of people say they were. Leon learned that he loved Rae and Rae went from “leave me alone” to “take all of me”. I loved the slow burn and Leon making sure Rae had a safe word. He was biggggg on consent and I loved it so much! The sex was hottttt and I will always recommend a romance/dark romance book someone who KNOWS what they are talking about!

This was on my TBR forever and it did not disappoint. It was spooky and spicy. The plot kept me on my toes and I was curious what was going to happen!

This is dark romantasy and a completed trilogy. It’s rated high on goodreads so I was excited to read this. However, maybe it’s just a me issue but it just didn’t do it for me. The plot is fine. The spice is fine. There were some tropes /specific language that I don’t like reading but I’m aware that’s a me issue. At the end of the day, I realized I didn’t really know all that much about the FMC. And without any connection, I just don’t care about her. She also did multiple things that made me roll my eyes with her stupidity. This may easily be someone else’s favorite series. I would maybe recommend. If you listen to the audiobook, the MMC narrator was great and the FMC was mid. Spice is high (3.5/5) and it’s a little insta-lusty. I will not be continuing this series.
Where do I start with this book?
It was such a huge leap for me as a reader and some parts i wasn't sure on but the plot of the story is so good and kept me hooked. I wasn't sure with the content warning but I'm glad I read it in the end
