What a beautiful story, this gets five stars from me. The slow burn definitely was worth it. I can’t wait for book two. Diana and Liam’s story was utterly captivating.

“mortal enemies with benefits”
I really liked this book because our FMC is 1000+ years old, no nonsense, and she is definitely the morally grey that we often see in a MMC. She’s a badass who has done some pretty villainous things though you learn the reasoning why behind most of these behaviors. The world building is interesting and combines our “modern urban world” with like a world of Gods. There is a lot of action for a first book and jumping right into the fray of things. It was a great book and I am jumping right into book 2 because I hate a cliffhanger.

My fucking god. That was amazing like literally WOW I loved everything in this book their dialogue, her power,the world, chemistry everything was just amazing
I am tired of the inclusion of random smut that does not further the plot. I also hate anything where the men are being spoken of as being attractive and sculpted like gods. This just didn’t end up being what I thought it was gonna be.
