I love this story! It’s so human with a perfect dose of outdoor adventure and feminine strength.

What happens when you decide to do The Pacific Coast Trail (1100 miles of mountains and rough terrain) with no hiking experience and a shed load of an emotional baggage after the death of your mother? This book! Cheryl Strayed's fantastic, inspirational read full of many highs and lows will really make you think!

I fully intend to finish this someday - its amazing so far! But it was a digital library download and I didn’t have time to finish it! So far I recommend it!

While some of the self indulgent aspects of this memoir got a little annoying at times...it was an enjoyable read. I could relate with the authors love of the wilderness and her adventurous spirit, and the book really made me want to go for a good hike.
