I actually really liked this. I expected to not like it because I didn't like Sabine from the other books. I did end up hating Sabine in this book too. But despite that, I ended up enjoying the story! I honestly think Rydstrom is 95% of the reason why I liked this book so much. His character was freaking 10/10. Sometimes he was a bit too much of a goody two shoe, but I liked his progression in the book.
The only thing I didn't like about the story was how similar it was to other books in the series. After Rydstrom takes Sabine as prisoner, they're stuck outside journeying to this portal to take them back to Lousiana. This 'journey' was similar to what happened to Malkom and Carrow, Thronos and Lanthe, and several other couples. It just got a bit repetitive. I was disappointed because I was most looking forward to that section of the book where the 'tables turn', but it just ended up falling flat.

This book was so much fun and a rollercoaster of emotions and action. Sabine had me laughing out loud. She's my favorite Kresley heroine. Rydstrom was a good guy with strong morals who needed someone like Sabine to shake him up a bit. Def one of my favorites in this series if not my favorite.
Reread completed 0/18/14 Still 5 stars. Sabine and Rydstrom still one of my favorite couples.
Great book! Loved Rydstrom and Sabine's story. I'm glad to meet a fierce and bitchy woman who could slay the Demon King. LOVE IT!

I got really tired of Sabine's antics, but the ending was satisfying enough to make it a good read.

Kiss of a Demon King is the seventh book and focuses on Rydstrom Woede. He is the true heir to a demon kingdom, which was lost centuries ago to an evil sorcerer. And guess who his mate is? The sister of the said evil sorcerer named Sabine! In the previous book, Cole introduces her when she kidnaps Rydstrom for her brother. But in truth, she has her own motives, which I expect no less from a true sorceress. Even when his crown is on the line Rydstrom's desire for his mate cannot be denied.
These can be read standalone, but it is nice to have a larger context of the immortal world. I would recommend diving into this series if you're into paranormal romances with strong-willed love interests who don't instantly fall in love.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. When I initially read the description, it didn't sound that intriguing to me, but I was immediately swept away by the prologue and immediately didn't want to put the book down. I loved Sabine as the heroine, with her snarkiness, and Rydstrom was a great leading man as well. I definitely enjoyed it more than the last one, and am looking forward to continuing the series.

A brilliant book from the IAD series. Not my diehard favourite one from the series, but one that I'm always surprisingly pleased by when I decide to read it again!
I loooove the Woede brothers and Sabine grows on me the more I return to this book. I always find myself comparing her to Lanthe who I think I prefer, but that definitely does not take away from her hilarious, stubborn, powerful personality.

I liked it. Unlike book 5 with Cade on and Holly I don't have a lot to say on this one. That one fairly exhausted me with how much I needed to rant over it

My favorite book in the series, oh lord! This is exactly what I needed. I fell in love with the Lore Demons with Cadeon in the previous book and Rydstrom was everything I needed and more.
I knew that I had to fly through the book just from the small glimpse of the scene we saw with Rydstrom and Sabine. Not to mention I’ve loved Rydstrom since we first met him a few books ago.
What I loved:
- I’m super happy to have been introduced to a new breed in the Lore with Sabine the Sorceress of Illusions.
- I love Nix more and more every time I see her. “I’m sorry, this is not a funny situation, but ‘poach your sister’s portal’ really sounded raunchy.”
- Sabine was MAIN CHARACTER royalty. She was sexy, demanding, and everything I needed her to be.
What I didn’t love:
- Absolutely nothing. I loved every second of it.
