I continue to be impressed with this series. Had another late night telling myself, “just one more chapter” .... had to stop myself from starting the third as soon as I was finished. I suppose that’s a problem one might have with Kindle reading (definitely not complaining!)
Side note: When the characters of Katniss and Tris irritated me for most of their respective stories, I am pleased to say I have enjoyed Cia’s character personality much more.

Entertaining, adventurous, and engaging; felt like not as much happened in this book compared to the first (more politics), yet I somehow enjoyed this one more; kept me wondering who to trust and what would happen next; at times there was too much exposition and world-building but it was paced well and still held my interest; ends on a cliffhanger.

A good middle book to this trilogy. My only gripe was that not much happened. It was a little slow. But, given the depth and quality of characters it is more than forgivable. There was one aspect to Cia towards the end that I struggled to believe - she is a hero, always, yet suddenly she was full of doubt and cowardly. I struggled to by that as she had spent the best part of two books being brave and strong. I really like these books and the story, it's believable and rich and I love the characters and how easily the author makes the horrific actions of some believable and compelling. I eagerly await the last book.

It was fine...? All that happened was The Testing v2 and Cia spying on people. That is literally all that occurred in the entire novel...

Didn't love as much as the Testing..it was still good, but I knew what the big "twist" would be halfway though..I prefer there to be more of a surprise element.

After I read The Testing I read this one the same day as well as the final book late into the morning.

This one was a breeze. It was a lot easier to get into than the first book and I enjoyed it more over all. I really enjoyed the puzzles she had to solve with her team while out in the wilderness. If the testing they went through had just been a longer version of that trip I think I would've liked the first book wayyy more.

Mannnn was that whole beginning not reminiscent of Pretties? couldn't get over how similar it felt. But, hey, we knew even before the testing in book 1 that it was going to happen.
