First off, I’m not sure what meagan brandy puts in her books but I’m ADDICTED. The men she writes are always a hit for me. There is just something about them man. Crew Taylor was so fucking sweet and perfect, I mean wow. The way he spoke about himself in this book was breaking my heart. He deserves the world. And Davis she was such a sweet and funny character. The way she was just so smitten with crew had me so in love. The tension in the book was so hot. I loved everything about this, especially Crew’s mouth.

I was looking for a good girl x bad boy book. In the first half of the book I loved the angst and tension then when they finally got together, it fell flat for me ? 😭 I didn't mind the idea of Davis and Crew together but I don't know what was missing but maybe the way I wanted to see more of their relationship to build up after seeing each other after a few years. I will say I loved both of their inner monologues- I felt every weight of their emotions and they're my pookies 🤏 But if I read the word 'baby' one more time, I'll gauge my eyes out. In some instances, I thought it was sweet but it just started to get too much?

Also the last 30% of the book threw me in for a loop because why would the author just throw in the fact that..

**SPOILER**

Crew was part of an underground fighting scheme.. then had to go fight AGAIN for the same people that caused him so much hurt??? Almost died but Davis' brother came out of nowhere to save him? I mean as he should because that's the least he could have done after the bs he put Davis and Crew through. But I'm just baffled at the whole thing as why wasn't this the build up from the beginning tbh? I mean the author mentions bits and pieces here and there but it just didn't make sense that Crew went off to go do this then MADE A CAREER OUT OF IT? LIKE OMG. HOW?

*** END OF SPOILER***

Regardless, I'm happy for their HEA... and spice was spicing but I didn't love it 😭 Also, I felt this book had some choppy parts.. I had to reread what the paragraphs were saying to understand what was going on at some points. But some of their moments did have me giddy and screaming but idk. It was just okay, I had higher hopes.
