This was a cute book. Predicable but an easy, fun, read.

I stumbled upon this book while looking through the ebooks my library system offers. This book had fairly high user ratings and a plotline that I thought I'd be interested in, so I gave it a shot.

I love Zoe. She's a very real character. I'm usually drawn to characters who don't quite see themselves as they really are, or are having a hard time accepting certain aspects of their personalities, and Zoe fits right in to that description. She's having a very hard time coming to terms with her "superhero-ness"(for lack of a better term!) and instead is trying to stomp out her various abilities because she can't quite control them yet.

Thanks to a variety of "coincidences," Zoe is forced to decide whether she wants to continue suppressing who she really is, or if she'll embrace her special abilities and live life to its fullest.

The end of the story gets a little bit silly. I would have liked to see a more dramatic "duel" between the two halflings, but that's my only real complaint. I can't wait to read the next one!

I thought this was a good story. But it was missing something as I found it slow to start and very difficult to get into. Finding I personally did not have any interest in what happened to the characters. It was a good story thought but do not have any interest in continuing in the series.

I grabbed this since it was free for Kindle and absolutely loved it! It was quick, but attention-grabbing. Very cute story and definitely worth the time to read!

I've been pretty spoiled with superhero books. I read a bunch of the Marvel novelizations back in the day, and was blessed to find a blending of those and romances in Jennifer Estep's Bigtime series. Now, every superhero romance I come across is measured by the yardstick that is the Bigtime series. Unfortunately, this one fell well short of that mark. Even Liana Brooks' [b:Even Villains Fall In Love|13570455|Even Villains Fall In Love|Liana Brooks|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1333333580s/13570455.jpg|19150339] was better than this, and that's saying something since I didn't like that one all that well! [b:Aphrodite's Kiss|23241|Aphrodite's Kiss (Superhero Central #1)|Julie Kenner|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1328003340s/23241.jpg|24226] was a very flat book for me. I couldn't connect to the main character, because she seemed like too much of a wimp, almost to the point of not knowing for certain that she wanted to be a superhero, or even if she could. Even though she had super senses, she almost never used them, due to the fact that her powers were spotty at best. The ending of the book was also anti-climactic, and we had almost no lead in to Mordecai's situation. All in all, I didn't care for the book and have deleted the entire series from my Kindle.

Cute and entertaining. Glad I read some reviews and gave it a chance.

More like 2.5 stars. I think I just wasn't into it and that's why I don't have much to say about it. I thought it would be more Greek Mythology-esque, but it was more like a branched off step-child version. Meh

This was a cute story, but a little overly involved. There were quite a few characters and it will take quite a bit to wrap up all of the conflicts that were presented in this story. I am glad that she passed her test, got to keep her powers and got her happily ever after. Cute story.

Interesting world, but a little too schick-lit slap-dash to purse further books. It was clear the author couldn't actually write action, when her world requires it.
