Hmm. I enjoyed the plot of this book. HOWEVERRRR the characters felt really shallow to me for some reason. But that’s probably just a me thing. I do love how Eve is an independent and strong woman who doesn’t always need Bram to come and save her, like she’s some damsel in distress.

Wow. That ending! She's PREGNANT?! It's another of Giovanna and Tom Fletcher's classic "What the heck?!" endings where you can't get your head around the sudden plot twist. But seriously?! She's PREGNANT?!

An absolutely amazing book!
I love this book so much (not one of my favourites though, but definitely in my top ten!), its so interesting and I cant wait for the next book!

I love the plot twists, it was so surprising when I found out Eve was pregnant!

Wonder what will happen next.................

I’ve been wanting to read the sequel to Eve of Man for a while and I was excited to finally pick up the second one.

It starts pretty much where the last one left it and then it got dark. Darker than I expected, which definitely changed how I viewed the story.
It was a surprise.

Adding a third viewpoint meant the writing was a lot more all over the place than the first one. I found it really easy to follow Eve and Bram’s story and although I liked the added element of the EPO with Michael’s perspective, in some places it felt a bit too much.

Eve has developed as a character and I’m really interested in seeing where the story goes- especially with that ending (which I saw coming!) and when the third book comes out I want to read it to conclude the story.

Obviously I can’t say too much without giving away the first book but this book definitely felt more post-apocalyptic than the first with the world being unlivable, and I liked the descriptions and the world building. Tom and Giovanna can write really good books!

I did enjoy it, I just wish there hadn’t been so much thrown in as it was hard to follow sometimes a bit of a mish mash. Other than that, a good book and a good sequel to the first!

4/5 stars.
