Interesting read. I found the main character a little frustrating. It’s like she was determined to keep hitting the self sabotage button over and over again. But as she revealed snippets of her life it was also easy to understand why.

i love reading about lesbian desire but i can’t help but think that debré wasn’t ready to write this book. it feels like she is putting a wall up between herself and the reader preemptively to prepare herself for judgement. she came across as a bit defensive and flippant and it doesn’t seem genuine. i don’t like when writers are not willing to be vulnerable (what’s the point of writing then??). i will give ‘love me tender’ a shot thought since ive heard better things about that.
