I'm sorry, but Mark Lawrence can do no wrong. He creates characters that I fall deeply in love with, and need to read about their every step in an obsessed manner. I couldn't put the book down and loved the wild ride it took me on.

This book took me FOREVER to get through. One, because it's been a rough month, period. But two, it was soo detailed and confusing on some parts... I enjoyed it to keep going but... I don't know if I want to continue the series. 

I did enjoy the relationship Livira and Evar had. I adore Livira. There were too many characters to name but it delivered the message that the past can't be changed, and everything always comes back full circle.

I really wanted to like this book and kept putting it down and picking it back up but just couldn't get into it. I thought the writing style was very descriptive and I enjoyed it but the pacing just felt too slow for me to get into this time around
