OMG - this does NOT deserve to be a book. It is a 3 sentence thesis repeated for a zillion and two times. Stay in a small group. Burn candles. Eat food you like. HOW IS THIS AN ENTIRE BOOK?!?!?!?!?!?! A ridiculous waste of pages and time.

Cute intro to the concept of hygge. I finished reading it over the Thanksgiving week, which I think is the most hygge-like holiday if you, like me, avoid anything related to Black Friday like the plague.

I honestly can’t find the words to describe the feeling this book gave me. Well, the word HYGGE would probably suffice.

A book about happiness, but at the same time time it’s not.

I finished this audiobook in a day.

This book left me feeling warm and nostalgic and, well, hygge.

Denmark, you are now top of my bucket list.

If you just want the basics of Hygge (which I did) this book is a good introduction (summary: Hygge essentially consists of incorporating into your life maximum coziness in the form of hot drinks, baked goods, blankets, candles, all within small groups of 4 or fewer people.) This book also dips a bit into the culture, history and philosophy around these activities. A light and breezy read.

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce livre, qui parle d'un mode de vie qui me touche particulièrement.
Je pense tout du moins qu'il faut être intéresser par la culture scandinave

Realistically 2.5 ⭐️ a cute book, nothing life-changing but serves as a good reminder to find meaning in the small things in life.
