4 ⭐️ I had zero expectations going in and was pleasantly surprised by this quick read! The characters are so dynamic, the pacing is spot on, but what I loved most was the dialogue- it’s been a while since I’ve read such clever banter! My only complaint was that Phoebe and Penny were both a bit annoying in their behavior towards each other-to the point where it took away some of the enjoyment when they were interacting…but honestly this was a SOLID read! Would recommend!

It was entertaining enough…not the greatest but not the worst either! Good quick read!

This was a cute read. The main character was likeable. I enjoyed her growth over the course of the book. Seeing her family dynamic change for the better was fun. The love interest was unexpected and enjoyable (although for the main character being a romance writer I should have anticipated a love story of some kind). Overall, I really liked this one.

I LOVED this book so much. I started out raving about it being witty and smart, and now that I finished it I'm feeling inspired to get back into astrology and to stop getting in my own way with going after what I want.

I cannot believe this is Abrams' debut - both because of how GOOD this book and also because that means I have nothing left of hers to read (yet!). There doesn't feel like any tiered-system in terms of primary, secondary, etc characters because they all feel whole and fully fleshed out. I wish I could be a part of Smut Coven, and I'm a little heartbroken I can't actually go to San Francisco and visit their bookstore.

Absolutely a 5/5 star read - I can't wait to read more from Abrams, Spice Girls Honor!!

Despite not enjoying the first half of the book very much, the second half grew on me. The ridiculous scenarios were actually funny! The main character started to realize maybe she had some growing up to do, and everyone began to try to mend old hurts.

I still can't decide if Penelope is purposely oblivious about her behavior at the beginning of the book or if she's supposed to be sympathetic.

A fun, fast read. The banter, while it had me laughing at moments, was too much at times as Pen’s defense mechanism. Glad it was eventually called out. Overall, enjoyable read.

This was a Kindle first read download for me. I liked the writing and it zipped along, the dialogue had me laughing and I was invested in the plot. It was an enjoyable read.

A cute and quick romance read. Penelope got on my nerves about 1/2 way through with her pretentious attitude but eventually got over it. A couple great laugh out loud lines and nice light hearted mess to it. The writing was okay not great and I was annoyed by how many times deadpan seemed to be stated when it was obvious. Would recommend overall as a good summer/beach read.
