I needed a fun, easy romance and this one was perfect. I liked most of the characters and really enjoyed Penny’s clever humor. Full of laughs, quirky wit, and emotion….settle in and be prepared to devote your whole evening because you won’t want to put this one down. Book #71 in 2023
This book was great. I felt like it was supposed to be a romance book but it was more about someone coming into their own person. Finding themselves and what was really important in life. Great book a must read for sure.
ok so like the book was fast paced which I liked but I could not attach myself to ANY of these characters maybe like nana but other than that these r very forgettable characters. the plot was honestly too fast for my liking like so many things were happening at once and i was just confused with the ironic timing that kept happening throughout the book.
3.5⭐️
Not my typical genre but it was cute and ended with all the loose ends tied up. Sometimes the snark and wit were just TOO MUCH but that goes with the territory.

This was a very cute and funny read. Very good if you want a quick read that will make you feel literally every emotion from happy to sad to actually second hand imbaressment for a fictional character! Honestly, the story was a little unrealistic, but I didn't mind it. The description does at least prepare you for the crazy ride you are about to go on with this family.
This was an interesting, fun, and at times comical look into the life of a strong, smart woman, who is just trying to find her path. Abrams did a great job of bring Penelope and all the people she has to see over the holiday to life. Her dysfunctional family, her ex-husband, and her father's colleague were all unique with their own quirks, but it was easy to imagine them as real people. I admit I giggled quite a bit while reading this, it was a wonderfully light-hearted read.
(3.75⭐, rounded up) Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher(s) for the eARC in exchange for an honest review and/or promotion. This book - both the cover and its title - looked and sounded so intriguing to me, so thank you again to the publisher for the opportunity. I thought this was such an entertaining and engaging read! The banter and wit put on display here is both razor-sharp & refreshing— so many parts were laugh-out-loud funny to me, and the book struck the perfect balance in my opinion by also having just as many deep and emotional moments throughout. I found Penelope to be very relatable as our FMC and I think lots of others will as well. A great debut by a fresh new face, I'm excited to read more of Abrams' work in the future!
I don’t get the great ratings. I just wanted to be done with this. It barely kept my interest
