I enjoyed the story. It's unique, and I like the way it moves back and forth through time to give the characters some history. But I don't feel like it's as well executed as it could be. Most of the dialogue feels inauthentic, and the characters lack real depth. It's definitely entertaining, though, and the ending made me curious as to how the story will continue.

I don't understand all the 4 and 5 star ratings for this book. The writing is forced, the story falls flat and the characters lack depth. The description was intriguing but I'm honestly disappointed I wasted time reading this book. Thankfully it's not very long. I won't be reading the other two in the series.

This book was so good I read it in one day. Have you ever watched Charmed? Well it’s not like that but you get a “Charmed” feel when you read this book. I adore the show and I absolutely adored this book. Everything about this book had me reading and I couldn’t put it down.

This book is hard to review since I don’t want to give anything away. I loved this story, I loved the sisters and I loved the romance. The story is told by Trin, that’s her name in this life but she is the older witch sister Karina. I really liked her and I felt bad that all she wants is to find her little sister. There is a lot of twists and turn and when you think you know something you don’t. I had a few panic attacks and a lot of trust issues. I thought the flashbacks were fantastic and I loved how each flashback was told in a way the just brought the entire story together.

I did find one part confusing, I had thought they were looking for Kara but at one point she mentions having Kara by her the entire time. Maybe I read it wrong but that just threw me a bit since I had to read it twice to see if I was missing something. I didn’t think I did but maybe I did read it wrong but that doesn’t take anything away from the AWESOMENESS of this book.

I loved the story, loved the characters and even with a slight touch of romance this was a great, quick read. I highly recommend for anyone that loves a good story with strong characters and some solid back story. I look forward to reading more from this author and I hope there will be more of the Witches of Blackbrook.

We are the granddaughters of the witches you weren’t able to burn.

The review contains spoilers!!!

Beautiful quote, isn't it? It captivated me too, until I read the book itself.  Witches, lost sister, found love and magic, do you need more?  well I'm sorry to spoil it all here, but forget this book immediately if you want to read about such things, because it contains none of the above. Although it was basically a good idea, it was horribly executed. I am sure that I would have liked it better if I had read it on Wattpad, I don't understand why so much paper and ink had to be wasted on this.

─────────────────

Trin was a horribly annoying main character and that's true, I can't lie.  She drove me crazy with her constant whining.

Jason, who didn't do anything for the whole book but be hurt and secretive, was even more useless than Trin.

The other characters don't even deserve a mention because there's simply nothing to say about them.  They had no depth or personality, only Kit
the villain
deserves some attention because she had something the others didn't; a goal.

The time jumps upset me so much that I wished the devil would take my soul away.

The plot made no sense, was completely unfinished, illogical, flawed, boring and incredibly unenjoyable.  EVERYTHING was taken away by the dialogues and descriptions.

Received an advanced copy from Xpresso Book Tours.

Absolutely loved this book!!!! Being able to follow the story of 3 sisters finding their way back to each other through magic was amazing. The incredible detail Tish gives to not only her characters but to every nuance in this book astounds me.
A truly remarkable book of loss, love, and magic. One of my favorite reads of this year.

I listened to this book on audio and wonder if that might be swaying my opinion a bit. Most audiobooks I listen to are wonderful, but some of the voices in this book reminded me of a children's Handsel and Gretel telling. The plot is interesting enough and kept me guessing until the end, but it is not one I am eager to share with others.
