"Alienated" was amazing for me. I haven't read much fiction about aliens but I love the few books I've read.
The romance in this one was so good, I really didn't want it to end.
And of course, with that ending (I won't spoil it) I need the next one, right now...
I can't wait to read "Invaded"!

This was an awesome book! Cara and Aelyx are the perfect from other worlds couple. I knew a foreign exchange program with aliens just had to be worth my time. We explored the alien on earth, what will happen when we see the human on alien territory. Can't wait for the next installment.

Slightly cheesy, but overall a good read. Cara was a little bit of a stereotypical hot-tempered redhead and that got annoying sometimes but overall it was an enjoyable read. Perfect for poolside or the beach if you're looking for a sci-fi, romancey, YA book (Romancey isn't a real word. Until now. It will be my contribution to society you're welcome world).
the idea was a pretty good idea, but there were parts that weren't fully explained until the very end. I kept wondering what was going on the entire time and was confused. At the very end, in the last chapter or so, they explained everything in a very rushed manner. I am, however, excited for the next in the series.
I went into this fully expecting and wanting a silly, implausible romance, so I'm not going to complain bout those qualities of this book. Unfortunately, despite engaging writing, after reading half of the book and still wondering when ANYTHING would happen, I decided to move on. I'm sorry to the author if in the second half there is a plot and the romance begins to spark, but life is too short and I have too many other books on my "to read" list.
**4.5 stars**

Two years ago, something happened in Cara’s family. In that same time period, aliens made contact with Earth. Now in the present time, Cara is now sharing her house with an alien. But let’s not forget to mention-he’s a hot alien.
Cara is the first human to test of the L’eihr exchange program along with Aleyx. Both races thinking both are out to kill each other and ruin both lives, they try out the exchange program. The humans are not okay with this program and are now threathening Cara’s family as well as Aleyx.
Despite all this chaos, Cara falls for Aleyx and is now fighting for her life.
It’s honestly really hard to write a good synopsis for this. Sorry that was terrible!
Anywho, I’ve had my eye on this book since I think back in August when I heard about it? I had such high expectations for this book. Yes, it did live up to it, but it wasn’t my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved this book to pieces. It was just missing that little piece to make it my favorite. I still loved it nonetheless and I’m really glad it lived up to my expectations!
Being a HUGE fan of The Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout (still need to read Opal and Origin, but still a fan), I was really excited about this book. I haven’t read any other aliens books besides this and JLA, so it was really interesting to read books about something I find incredibly interesting! I’ve always been interested in aliens and if there really could be other living “being” on different planets.
This book definitively did not disappoint me once so ever. I absolutely loved it and I fell in love with Cara and Aleyx’s relationship and I adore it!
I do not like Eric or her best friend, Tori. Hate both of them. I don’t care what kind of excuses they come up with, I’m sorry, but no. Just no. Hate them. Probably will forever and I have my reasons and probably those that have read this book know what I’m talking about.
I loved Cara’s character-being that she is extremely smart and is to be the valedictorian at her school. I loved Aleyx’s character as well. I just loved their relationship to pieces!! It was just adorable!! I also liked having the book told from both of their perspectives. It was hard at first to realize it was told from both because there’s no spot where it says who’s point of view it is. You just have to put two and two together and realize who’s point of view it’s from.
I’m so excited to see what happens next!

This book was just okay, not super interesting. My favourite thing about it was the science/alien world and everything about Lair (idk if thats how you spelled it), but other than that it was overall a bit boring.
