El duque y yo fue un libro ligero, muy divertido. Hace mucho no reía tanto con un libro. Eran personajes reales y según la época en la que se desarrolla la historia. Estoy esperando con ansias leer los otros libros de la saga pues toda la familia Bridgeton me cautivo.

There were so many issues with this, but the biggest problem for me was the rape. This was so unnecessary to the plot.. and it was glossed over so quickly as if it was just a small trial in their marriage. I don't feel like there was much substance at all to the romance, as it was mostly lust.
I finished this book not caring about any of the relationships or characters, and I will not be continuing with the series. Is all regency romance like this?! If so, I don't want it.

The show was better, could not pay attention and ultimately cared little for the people or the problems
I enjoyed it after a reread lol sometimes the book and mood do not jive. :)

Listened to this after watching the show on Netflix. There is an instance of borderline marital rape in the book, so that was disturbing and disappointing... and I felt like the book didn't even address it in any way after it happened. The show changes that and improves on Daphne as a character overall, so honestly I would recommend sticking to the show. (Just know there's a good amount of S-E-X hehe)
I may continue listening to the series because this book was exclusively about Daphne and the Duke and the show made me really want to know more about Anthony, Eloise, etc. so I will report back.
