I've read these books backward, starting with Brodie and Echos of Evil, and now Bruce, I did enjoy this book a lot! I'm such a fan of true crime books and other murder mysteries (probably why I decided to pursue a degree in criminal justice) Bruce is probably my favorite so far (out of all the Krewe men I've read so far), though I am excited to eventually read fade to black.

Bruce, Bryan's brother, returns to LA to help Sophie as she deals with a ghost and she is in way over her head at first. It is nice to see Sophie return in this book. She was a great supportive character in the last one and in this case it is her in the spotlight. Heather Graham manages to make the involvement of Bruce, a PI, seem plausible and natural. I am constantly in awe how she manages to create unique characters even 26 books in a series. Absolutely amazing. And this case is super interesting, too. Who is trying to recreate the Black Dahlia murders? The case definitely kept me on my toes and I had a fantastic time trying to solve it alongside Bruce and Sophie!

A thrilling mystery with a passionate love story, and a few ghosts thrown in! I wanted a break from my scary-spooky reading and got exactly what I needed from Heather Graham. This fun mystery is another based on the Black Dahlia - a serial killer copycat terrorizes actresses in modern-day L.A. Nothing new but tons of fun
